My blog didn’t get updated that often recently, huh? Well, in addition to a big project I have been managing recently, I have less and less time to work on my Mac where all the development and publish to GitHub was set up. Thus, never got the chance to upload the couple of pages and changes I had on my Windows machine, ready to be Jekyll-built and pushed to GitHub. That had to come to an end… I have finally set up Jekyll on Windows and, believe it or not, it works like a charm. A big thank should go to the creator of this nice guide, which is, btw, a GitHub page!

Jekyll is a wonderful templating engine which works perfectly with GitHub. You can have your wonderful static website up and running in few minutes, hosted and built seamlessly by Github. There is indeed a limitation to this perfect world: GitHub will build Jekyll in –safe mode thus not allowing any Jekyll plugin. I have been struggling to find a noob way to publish my GitHub page and version the source control at the same time.
